Jessica Alvarez
Jessica Alvarez manages the Center for Human Capital Innovation (CHCI)’s educational operations and serves as the Chief Management Officer. Ms. Alvarez joined CHCI after ten successful years of program management, organizational management, and fundraising in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area’s non-profit sector.
Ms. Alvarez held positions with the D.C. Department of Corrections and served as the communications and development director for a child welfare organization. She also led the Latino Leadership Institute, a grassroots community leadership development program created to encourage civic participation in the metropolitan area.
Ms. Alvarez has international teaching experience and brings to the team solid communications and public policy knowledge, in addition to a wealth of adult and popular education expertise. Ms. Alvarez is a certified interpreter and translator. She holds a B.A. in Political Science and Early Childhood Education. She is certified by the Yale School of Management on Fostering Inclusion and Diversity.
