Our Educational Topics Include

  • Facilitating Crucial Conversations
While a crucial conversation does not necessarily indicate a life-or-death situation, it often feels like life or death because you’re stuck in a situation where the conversation has escalated to red alert level, the stakes are high and the emotions run strong. This skill set, once learned, will allow you to face anyone in any situation, regardless of power, position, or authority.

In this workshop, we will discuss tips and best practices for carrying out Crucial Conversations in any work environment.
  • Managing Constant Change
Change is inevitable. The one constant in the business landscape is that change is perpetually happening, and in most cases at an alarming rate. At work, it could be a change in job roles, leadership teams, business development focus, location, projects, process, technology, or work settings.

In this workshop, we will use the acronym C.H.A.N.G.E. to help you manage change: Choice, Help Others, Accept, New Normal, Grow.
  • Navigating Conflict
Conflict happens, whether we want it to or not. Most of us have a strong, visceral reaction to conflict, including (but not limited to) fear, avoidance, excitement, and/or dread. However, when you boil it down, conflict is when one person’s desires are different from another person’s desires. It’s the emotions that conflict evokes that can make situations seem explosive.

In this workshop, we will discuss tips, techniques, and skills to manage conflict.
  • Building High-Performance Teams to Drive Performance
A high-performing team is a collaborative group of people who share a common vision and hold each other accountable to achieve results. Creating these high-performing teams is no easy task; it requires the right mix of leadership, empowerment, and goal clarification between team members.

In this workshop, we will use the Drexler-Sibbet Team Performance Model to guide participants in building effective, results-oriented teams.
  • Developing a Strategic Vision
Strategic thinking is an intentional and rational thought process that focuses on the analysis of critical factors and variables that will influence the long-term success of the organization, team, or individual.

In this workshop, we will outline what strategic planning is, and how strategic thinking can help with effective communications.
  • Managing Energy, Not Time
How many of the following statements apply to your life?

    • I often feel overwhelmed
    • I usually feel that I don’t have enough time in the day
    • I struggle with being present, or in the moment

You’re not alone. Human energy is a critical resource; the strategies used to improve athletic performance can also be applied to managing energy in our workday.

In this workshop, you will learn how to train like an athlete to manage your energy physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually
  • Engaging Every Age
The workforce is more diverse than ever with different generations working side by side. Each generation is distinctly different from the other, which can be an organizational challenge. However, it is also an opportunity to leverage generational strengths for improved organizational performance.

In this workshop, you will learn about the massive shift in workplace demographics which will impact every industry and how organizational leaders need to get in front — and stay in front — of some very powerful demographic trends.
  • Giving Feedback to Propel Performance
Feedback improves performance, lowers turnover, and is often requested by employees. Feedback also clarifies expectations within the organization, helps everyone learn from mistakes and builds overall confidence.

In this workshop, you will understand why feedback is important, how it improves performance, lowers turnover, and perhaps most surprising…why employees want it!
  • Improving Your Emotional Intelligence
When assessing someone’s professional capabilities, such as during a job interview or a performance review, it is common to rely on easily quantifiable measures, test scores, or performance metrics. However, there are some important factors that are often overlooked, such as a person’s emotional strengths.

Emotional Intelligence is the ability to accurately perceive your own and others’ emotions; to understand the signals that emotions send about relationships; and to manage your own and others’ emotion. In this workshop, you will learn how to build your Emotional Intelligence and use it to increase your success.
  • Career Planning – Empowering Staff at All Levels to Develop and Pursue Career Plans
For most employees, managers and leaders, career progression ranks among the most important factors determining engagement and retention. Prospects for career advancement matter more than salary, flexible work, health insurance, and all other benefits for Generations Y and Z.

In this workshop, we’ll explore the role of managers and mentors and technology in career progression.
  • Empowering Effective Decisions
As organizations move to flatter structures and the pace of business accelerates, employees, front-line managers, and leaders face pressure to make more decisions faster, often with incomplete information.

In this workshop, we will tackle biases that can impede decision-making, and utilize proven models to enhance decision-making abilities through interactive exercises, assessments, and case discussions.
  • Influencing Without Authority
Authority does not always mean people will follow you and support you; instead, it can create fear, and could potentially motivate people for the wrong reasons. That is why learning how to influence others without using authority is vital to your career success.

In this workshop, you will learn how to influence without authority by identifying what other people value the most, using the Cohen-Bradford Influence Model.
  • Using Polarity for Organizational Change
Polarity is a situation in which two interdependent and seemingly contradictory states must be maintained. These two states are actually dependent upon one another and must be managed together for successful outcomes.

In this workshop, you will learn how you can use the concepts of polarity to achieve effective organizational change.
  • Mastering Effective Delegation
Delegation goes beyond just handing off a task. It includes setting performance expectations, following-up, and providing feedback. A healthy amount of delegation helps build groups into strong teams, with a shared sense of mission and responsibility.

In this workshop, you’ll learn the importance of delegation, ways to delegate and tips to help you delegate successfully.
  • Addressing Unconscious Bias
Bias—a tendency to believe that some people and ideas are better than others—wreaks havoc in the workplace. It keeps some people out of the boardroom, limits job opportunities, and prevents organizations from the true monetary and cultural benefits of a diverse workforce. It’s easy to identify and limit bias when it’s overt, but that’s not always the case. Sometimes bias is completely unconscious. Even those with the best intentions behave in biased ways and may have no idea they’re doing it.

In this workshop, you will learn tips, techniques, and strategies to identify, address, and mitigate the impact of unconscious bias in the workplace.
  • Understanding Your Values
Values-based leadership instills a common set of values, improving organizational cohesion and motivation to work. Organizations that follow a shared set of beliefs have employees who are more likely to work together effectively, which increases productivity.

In this workshop, we will discuss how shared values influence teamwork and productivity, teaching participants to instill and leverage these shared beliefs in their organizations.
  • Supervising Generation Z
Generation Z, the youngest wave of employees, are reshaping the workplace dynamics with their unique perspectives. Adapting management styles to engage, motivate, and retain this group is critical.

In this workshop, we will explore what motivates Gen Z, how to engage with them for performance enhancement, their expectations from supervisors, and effective onboarding practices for this group. Equip yourself to excel at supervising Generation Z and become an adaptable leader for the future.
  • Navigating the Future of Work
The future of work is set to change drastically, necessitating reskilling, upskilling, and investment in new technologies. Increasingly, organizations are elevating their Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) efforts, while leaders are redefining accountability amidst remote and hybrid work environments.

In this workshop, we will delve into five significant demographic trends that shape the future of work: Longevity, Women in Business, Diversity in the Workplace, Contingent Workers, and Career Transformation. As organizational leaders, it’s essential to stay ahead of these trends to ensure enduring success in the years to come.
